Tabacco

At the Latexweg facility, the C.J. Hendriks Group has a number of warehouses dedicated to the storage of tobacco. To avoid the possibility of influencing the distinctive aroma of the tobacco, no other fragrant goods are stored in the vicinity.
After a careful receiving inspection for mould and pests, both the outer leaf and inner leaf are stored in our warehouses. Since the outer leaf needs to stay whole, boxes and bales of tobacco are never stacked.
During the period of storage, the tobacco is continually monitored for pests. Pest control is effected by means of temperature registration and  pheromone traps located throughout the warehouses and temperature control.
