Customs

Given the fact that we make among the greatest number of declarations to customs in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, we have a wide experience in the area of Customs formalities. We make use of the most up-to-date technology to:

• Electronically declare incoming, outgoing and transiting traffic to customs and other bodies such as the VWA (Voedsel en Waren Autoriteit – the Dutch Food Authority) and other sectors.
• Stay informed about changes to import duties, emission quotas and anti-dumping laws as posted on-line. 

   

Excise Warehousing

Our large bonded warehouse – where alcohol can be stored without paying excise – is unique in the Netherlands.

Value Added Tax

For companies based outside the Netherlands, we are licensed to act as tax representatives, thus allowing these companies to access the European market and import goods to the EU with the deferral of VAT payments.

Import duties and levies

We are happy to advise you on the appropriate customs tariffs, whereby you can calculate the total import duties in advance. We can also make a BTI (Binding Tariff Information) application on your behalf, if you wish.

Phyto-Sanitary and veterinary

Upon entry to the EU, phyto-sanitary and veterinary cargos are subject to checks and inspection and we can offer our expertise at both Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
